Photography
for me, is a way of life. I have my camera and I also have Buddhism, the two cannot be separated. I need both to make sense of a senseless and chaotic world. I live the life I love. The recent focus of my work is to create visual expression of sacred Buddhist landscapes in the tradition of the Buddhist mandala. As students we must ask, "What is Buddha nature?". "Where do we fit in this universe?" and "What will contemplating nature teach me?".
Mandalas are used by Buddhist as an aid to meditation, to help focus attention. Mandalas usually depict a landscape of Buddha Nature or a Vision of a Buddhist Deity, Concept or even the powers at work in the Universe. Mandalas help the viewer reach deeper and deeper levels of consciousness, opening the Heart and freeing the mind.
These are my Photographic Mantras. If you enjoy them, tell a friend.
Thanks,
